Malone Given Parsons was recently retained by the Town of Milton to lead a Land Base Analysis for the development of the Phase 4 Sustainable Halton Lands to accommodate 2031 population and employment growth as allocated to the Town by the Growth Plan and the Regional Municipality of Halton.

The study area lands are located in the southern and eastern portion of the Town and comprise approximately 2,000 hectares of land. They are identified as an Urban Growth Area and are the next urban expansion area and major Secondary Plan Area(s) in Milton.

Malone Given Parsons produced a preliminary land-use concepts, delineated Secondary Plan Area(s) and a framework to use as a guide for future studies. The Land Base Analysis is planned to assess and provide a preliminary overview of the key opportunities and constraints to development within the Sustainable Halton Lands. As lead Planners for the Land Base Analysis, Malone Given Parsons provides ongoing planning, growth management, economic and policy expertise to the Town of Milton. Malone Given Parsons is working collaboratively with the Town’s Subwatershed and Transportation Master Plan teams to establish a framework and land use options to inform the future Secondary Plan process.
