MGP’s Greater Golden Horseshoe Area (GGHA) Planned Urban Structure Map is a composite of major land use designations and infrastructure for much of the Southern Ontario area. It was created by MGP’s GIS and planning consultants by digitizing lower-tier municipal Official Plans and interpreting planning policy to create generalized land use categories. The map includes relevant land use information from important Provincial planning documents such as the Niagara Escarpment Conservation Plan, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan, Greenbelt Plan, Parkway Belt West Plan, and Metrolinx: The Big Move. The Province’s Settlement and Built Boundary limits are also depicted.

The GGHA Planned Urban Structure Map is a useful resource for anyone working in the planning and development industry. Glossy maps (42 x 48”) of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area or the Greater Toronto Area are available for purchase. More detailed area information is available at a larger scale, as well as custom mapping. Contact Nicole George (ngeorge@mgp.ca) for more information.
